I still have the sheet music to “That Was Then…”. I was about 16, 17 years old when I bought it and I learned how to play it on the piano, then guitar. Yes, it’s a little bit tattered, a bit wrinkled from both age and much use. Hey, it came to GREAT use! I could probably still play the song if it were in front of me…the problem is, my bird Chipper sings too. That means every time I try to play the piano, he starts singing loudly, as if to say who the performer of the home is!

@Dan Peck Hey Dan! Wasn't Atlanta yesterday? Time flies, but there's always many good memories, especially when it comes to music and friends! I can't believe it's 25 years this year since the Monkees released "That Was Then, This Is Now" that I originally recorded with the Mosquitos ... and the Innocent Bystanders was before that! Don't have recordings from those days, but guess I could post more about the Mosquitos & Monkees under My Songs ... stay tuned!

The parties that Vance plays at my Nursing Home (Petite Fleur Nursing Home, Sayville N.Y.) are always the most hopping parties. His music draws crowds from every unit. The residents are always asking….”When is Vance coming back?”

I think it is fantastic that this sight has been set up for Vance, the work he does for the seniors is extraordinary. He is dedicated and very passionate about his work with our older adults, not to say the work he achieves with his band. I do agree Vance should be on stage in his own right. He will be blessed for his selflessness. Well wishes from a special friend. Take care.

I…..absolutely……adore…….the…….YouTube……link…..on the front page here. It is a collection of memories to click on. Just listened to Elvis and Macca (drool) singing love songs and am feeling “Misty” and ……. HEY I NEED TO BE DOING LAUNDRY AND DISHES!! Thank goodness for music, as sometimes reality bites.

I just LOVE the Munster tribute on Along the Way. V-elves, you have set it up beautifully, and Vance, the oratory and The Mosquitos playing the theme song just made me feel Glad All Over.
